History of Jehovah's Witnesses in France

The activity of Jehovah's Witnesses in France dates back to the late nineteenth century. In 1891, Bible publications have been translated into French. Shortly after, Adolf Weber, from Switzerland, began to preach in the Francophone countries and to be published in newspapers and magazines ads featuring publications to study the Bible. Elijah Thérond, among others, who lives Beauvène in the Ardeche, meets one of these ads.
